|How do I prepare for my individual fitness counseling session?|
|During your fitness counseling session, you will be given a fitness assessment to determine some parameter of your fitness to include the following:
To assess current fitness level
To help develop and establish an effective fitness program
To identify potential areas of health or injury risk
To establish goals and motivation
To track and evaluate progress
To establish a baseline of your current fitness level
To identify your strengths and weaknesses in relation to your physical fitness
Therefore, be prepared to some light to moderate exercise.
To assure the best possible accuracy of the information obtained in your fitness assessment, we recommend you follow the instructions listed below:
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing consistent with exercise.
Drink plenty of fluids over the 24-hour period preceding the assessment to ensure normal hydration prior to the assessment.
Avoid food, tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, and supplements for at least 3 hours before the assessment.
Avoid exercise or strenuous physical activity the day of the assessment.
Get an adequate amount of sleep (6-8 hours) the night before the assessment.
