Dr. Chetanbabu Patel is an experienced pediatric endocrinologist who is passionate about providing care for children challenged by chronic disease and helping them achieve strong health.
He works closely with each patient’s family, giving them his undivided attention and taking the time needed to fully explain health matters and treatment options.
Dr. Patel has dedicated his career to learning as much as possible about pediatric endocrine illness, and he is a devoted advocate for children and their families.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Patel has held many respected positions, including director of diabetes education at the Steele Research Center, division chief of pediatric endocrinology at Texas Tech University and assistant professor of pediatric endocrinology at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Patel earned a medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed a residency at Lutheran General Children’s Hospital and engaged a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
His immediate and extended family also reside in Arizona, and Dr. Patel has always felt that Tucson is his home. While basketball, tennis and reading are his favorite hobbies, he most enjoys spending time with his family.
