Dr. Ahmed Dahshan is a pediatric gastroenterologist with nearly 30 years of medical experience. He provides treatment and care for infants, children and adolescents experiencing digestive disorders. His first priority is listening to patients and their families to learn more about their health challenges, family history and serious concerns.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Dahshan has served as chief of pediatric gastroenterology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and as chairman of the pediatrics department at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center. For several years running, he has been named a Top Doctor by U.S. News & World Report. In 2013, Dr. Dashan was recognized as a Most Compassionate Doctor by Vitals.
He earned a medical degree from Kuwait University College of Medicine and completed specialty training at the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, followed by a pediatric residency at Al-Amiri Hospital in Kuwait City.
Dr. Dahshan completed an additional pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan followed by a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Dahshan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Aida and their six children.
