TMC Hospice volunteers play an integral role in hospice services and provide helping hands, listening ears, companionship and support. We aim to improve the quality of life of our patients and families with the help of our volunteers, who are there to care, share, love, laugh, cry, listen and understand. TMC Hospice volunteers bring the outside world in to someone who is home-bound and can bring solace and comfort to a patient with a gentle touch, a quiet word or a smile. Our volunteers are open to people's spiritual needs and are always concerned for the welfare of both the patient as well as the patient's family and friends.

Roles and tasks where volunteers help include administrative work, inpatient unit and home care patient care support, bereavement support and veteran recognition. In order to volunteer at TMC Hospice you must be selected through an interview process, pass a background check and complete volunteer training, which is offered routinely throughout the year.
