Every parent wants the best for their child.

Pediatric therapy is about more than building strength and improving function. It’s about inspiring children to gain the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.  And it’s also about supporting families throughout the process.

At Tucson Medical Center's pediatric therapies, your child will be cared for by pediatric experts who know the importance of engaging, nurturing, and motivating children to become the best they can be. Whatever the challenges – developmental delay, injury, illness or disability – we will use age-appropriate strategies to meet your child’s current physical, social, and emotional challenges -- and help them build a foundation for future progress and success.

Commonly seen diagnoses include:

  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Brain injury
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Developmental delay
  • Down syndrome
  • Neurological conditions
  • Orthopedic trauma
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Sports Injuries
  • Stroke

Children may receive therapy while inpatients or in the outpatient clinic, and on the therapy playground or pool. We encourage family involvement with each session and we will educate families for home practice. Interaction with the pediatrician, other referral sources and community resources enhances therapy for our children. All therapy professionals are licensed by the state of Arizona and bilingual service is available.
