Who should attend? 

Primary Care Physicians, Hospitalists, Emergency Department Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, RNs, Rad Techs, Echo Techs, Sonographers and Allied Health Professionals

Objective:

This two-day course focuses on the real-time, hands-on training in venous and arterial ultrasound, including patient presentation, diagnosis, reporting and follow-up.

Instructors: Luis Leon, M.D., and Nicos Laboropoulos, Ph.D.

Nicos Laboropoulos, PhD, is currently a professor of Surgery and Radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital, Long Island, Ner York. He is the director of the Vascular Laboratory and has a major interest in pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of London and his Ph.D. and Vascular Fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine, London, UK. Professor Labropoulos is on the editorial board of 11 journals and serves as a reviewer for over 20 medical and surgical journals.

  • Substitute registrants will be honored.
  • Refunds: Registration fee (less a 10% handling fee) will be issued within 10 days of a written request for a refund. Cancellations or no-shows after Oct. 15, 2018, are not eligible for a refund. 
  • One person per registration is allowed. Registrations cannot be split among multiple people.
  • For reasons beyond our control, it is occasionally necessary to alter the content and timing of the program or to substitute speakers. Thus, the speakers and agenda are subject to change without notice. In the event of a speaker cancellation, every effort will be made to find a replacement speaker.
  • A minimum number of registrants is required to hold this course. If the minimum is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the course.
