As your community hospital, Tucson Medical Center reaches beyond its walls to educate and promote health, wellness and safety throughout Southern Arizona. Improving the health of the community is the core intent of all our efforts and the basis of our mission. TMC devotes many of its outreach efforts to three special audiences: children & families and seniors.
The Community Outreach team is comprised of clinical experts and ancillary staff committed to improving the health and well being of our community. Annually the team participates in more than 100 events providing a full range of services including on-site blood pressure checks, cardiac risk assessment, diabetes testing and life-saving education and information. The Community Outreach team also hosts physician-led wellness and prevention events.
Check out our community calendar for upcoming events throughout Tucson and surrounding areas.
Children & Families:
Desert Kids Safety Team is available for safety prevention visits to schools, neighborhood centers and private organizations.
TMC Senior Services participates in a variety of community events and collaborative projects throughout the year. Healthy Living Connections offers many opportunities for older adults to engage in prevention, and health and wellness activities.
The Core, located in the La Encantada shopping center, continues our commitment to improving health and the well-being of our community by creating a venue to ENGAGE you and your family and EMPOWER you to take control of your health. Our approach is personalized to your individual goals and will complement your relationship with your primary care physician.
