Seniors Helping Seniors Program
The Seniors Helping Seniors Program utilizes volunteers to offer companionship and a listening ear to any older adult in the community. Volunteers participate in extensive training and complete a background check. Then they offer weekly home visits, and support others through the normal but difficult life changes or losses that accompany growing older. They provide one on one support to adults who simply need someone to talk to or visit with, whether in the hospital, nursing home or private residence.
Referrals to the program can be made by community case managers, faith communities and families by calling (520) 324-1960.
