Saguaro Physicians Jobs:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for making the patient comfortable in the setting and attending to specific details that enable physician efficiency and the very best patient experience. Medical assistants escort patients to exam room, obtain vital signs and patient history and aide in maintaining the chart documentation. Tasks vary per office and may include assisting the physician with procedures, answering patient inquiries, processing prescription refills, and a wide range of other responsibilities. All employees are cross-trained in detailed clerical and reception functions.
Medical Administrative Assistant
As the first caregiver, the job of the Medical Administrative Assistant is to establish a welcoming and professional front office. Phones are answered with warmth and enthusiasm and the schedule is maintained for best office flow. Handling of patient charts, reports, referrals and other clerical tasks follow procedures that enable best office functionality. Financial arrangements, insurance verifications, and daily cash flow accounting is the responsibility of this position. All staff responsibilities extend to the patient, the physician and the community of healthcare workers. Medical administrative assistants are trained in all office tasks outside of hands on clinical procedure. This important position is pivotal to the healthcare environment.
Billers and Account Managers
Billers and the more senior Account Managers are responsible for the accurate processing of patient encounter information and to support the accuracy of physician coding, documentation and insurance claim submission. Thorough and precise data entry is required to minimize follow-up and rework. Our billers have full account responsibility and build a relationship with the physician and office staff to develop a system that creates efficiency and completes a positive patient experience. Collections are kept current and today’s staff at Saguaro Physicians has been awarded a Certificate of “Superior Performance” by the Medical Group Management Association.
