Friends of Cardiac Rehab

TMC Friends of Cardiac Rehab

The Friends of Cardiac Rehab are patients who use TMC Cardiac Rehab as well as families, friends and health professionals interested in cardiac rehabilitation services. Many are long-time survivors of cardiac disease and provide living examples of the benefits of maintaining healthy hearts through exercise, lifestyle changes and reduction of risk factors.

Education and Outreach

Many people with heart disease, including those who have had a heart attack, stroke or other cardiac event, are not aware of the benefits of a medically supervised cardiac rehabilitation program to help them return to an active life and reduce their risk of further heart problems.

The Friends of Cardiac Rehab help educate health care professionals and the general public. Through outreach at community events, health fairs and one-on-one meetings, we educate the community about the services and benefits of cardiac rehabilitation. We raise money to support TMC Cardiac Rehab in the purchase of additional exercise equipment and materials to support the program. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
