The Nutrition Clinic at Tucson Medical Center provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nutrition Counseling, which can assist in the treatment of:
- high cholesterol / dyslipidemia
- adult and pediatric weight management
- gestational diabetes
- renal insufficiency
- esophogeal reflux
- failure to thrive (adult and pediatric)
Appointments are scheduled on an individual basis, and the length of the appointment is dependent on the needs of the patient and are based on 15-minute increments of time.Nutrition Classes
Medical nutrition therapy classes are available for newly diagnosed individuals with high cholesterol or diabetes or both. Call 324-1150 for class availability and times.
Gestational Diabetics are seen within 72 hours of request.
The Nutrition Clinic is staffed by registered dietitians, who are members of the American Dietetic Association.
Be sure to check with your insurance provider to confirm if this is a covered benefit. The Nutrition Clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
