Assistive Technology Program at TMC
The Assistive Technology Program at TMC is a unique hospital-based program designed to help individuals manage barriers that impede mobility or communication. TMC is the only site in Southern Arizona offering the comprehensive components of technology evaluation and therapy. Our team provides feature-based assessment, training, therapeutic intervention and support in the areas of communication, mobility, seating, positioning and computer access in school, work and community settings.
Team members are specially trained in assistive technology and devices and address the unique needs and abilities of people with varied diagnosis. Clients, families, co-workers and caregivers are the focus of the Assistive Technology Team. Team members provide recommendations, education and support to clients, families, payers and other caregivers.
