Dr. Michele Boyce Ley was raised in Northern California and has lived in Tucson since 2000. She graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in molecular and cellular biology. She completed medical school at St. Louis University and moved to Tucson for her general surgery residency at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Boyce Ley is board-certified in general surgery. Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the University of California San Francisco, Carol Frank Buck Breast Care Center in 2006 before establishing a breast surgical oncology practice in Tucson.
Dr. Boyce Ley has worked in a variety of practice settings. Most recently, she was the director of breast surgery at the University of Arizona and associate professor of surgery. She has always focused her practice on developing multidisciplinary care teams to provide the highest level of personalized surgical and medical care to her patients. Dr. Boyce Ley works with other specialists to develop a comprehensive treatment plan based on the latest research for each patient.
As a surgeon, she partners with her patients to plan the surgical therapy that will provide the best outcome for their diagnosis and help them achieve the best possible quality of life. Dr. Boyce Ley is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Boyce Ley's family includes husband, Daniel, son, Logan, and daughter, Lauren, all of whom support her dedication to her patients. They enjoy traveling and camping together.
