The Friends of Cardiac Rehab are patients who use TMC Cardiac Rehab as well as families, friends and health professionals interested in cardiac rehabilitation services. Many are long-time survivors of cardiac disease and provide living examples of the benefits of maintaining healthy hearts through exercise, lifestyle changes and reduction of risk factors.
Many people with heart disease, including those who have had a heart attack, stroke or other cardiac event, are not aware of the benefits of a medically supervised cardiac rehabilitation program to help them return to an active life and reduce their risk of further heart problems.
Members of Friends of Cardiac Rehab educate health care professionals and the general public through outreach at community events, health fairs and one-on-one inpatient meetings. They raise money to support TMC Cardiac Rehab purchase of additional exercise equipment, funding financial scholarships and educational materials to support the program. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Let us know how you would like to help. You can participate in the Friends of Cardiac Rehab events and activities, you can help us plan our activities, and you can provide tax-deductible financial support.
