Walmart and Sam's Club Associates Raise $429,742 for Tucson Medical Center for Children
Hospital hosts a “thank you” celebration for Walmart associates and leadership
WHAT: Tomorrow, Sept. 13, Tucson Medical Center leadership, a former patient, and community leaders will host a celebration for Walmart associates, who will present a check to TMC for Children, Children’s Miracle Network.
Walmart and Sam’s Club associates at more than 18 stores in Southern Arizona raised a record-breaking $429,742 for TMC for Children during a recent six-week fundraising campaign.
This event will take place at Walmart Store #1291, which alone raised over $92,000 in the six week period – the second highest amount raised out of the 4,540 Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in the United States.

• For 25 years, Walmart and Sam’s Club have been the largest corporate sponsor of the national children’s charity, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year’s fundraising campaign was also record-breaking on a national level, with more than $41 million raised for the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the United States. Since 1987, Walmart and Sam’s Club have raised more than $600 million for member hospitals.
• In addition to the check presentation, a former patient of TMC for Children, Walmart leadership and hospital representatives will be in attendance and available for interviews.
