Patients needing orthopaedic surgery will go to the TMC Orthopaedic and Surgery Tower, just west of the Emergency Department. The four-story tower includes  the TMC Orthopaedic Center with state-of-the-art orthopaedic operating rooms for both inpatient and outpatient surgeries, and a dedicated 40-bed orthopaedic inpatient unit with all private rooms on the fourth floor, where many will begin their recovery with our physical therapists in a dedicated gym.

A close collaboration on clinical and quality initiatives with some of the most highly trained orthopaedic providers in Southern Arizona, including one of the largest full-service orthopaedic practices in the Southwest, ensures the best patient experience possible.

Every detail in TMC’s Orthopaedic and Surgical Tower – from the dedicated area for pain management and injections to the hi-res minimal-radiation imaging techniques, and from the close proximity of follow-up care on the ground floor to the private patient rooms on the fourth floor – allows us to better achieve our commitment to your health, comfort and individual orthopaedic care.

There are 10 state-of-the-art orthopaedic operating rooms for both inpatient and outpatient surgeries. The spacious suites have ceiling-mounted monitors and equipment storage reduce clutter in the spacious suites, making it easier to maneuveur patients. The video system’s capabilities allow surgeons to view 3D images. Physicians can also access their files via their laptops, smartphones and other devices, which helps them to better care for patients.
