Sreelekha Susarla, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who sees her role as that of a puzzle solver who is honored to tackle a new puzzle with each patient she meets. Her passion for internal medicine is fueled by its complexity and the continual opportunity to provide meaningful care for her patients. Dr. Susarla believes that being a provider goes beyond diagnosing and treating—it also requires coordinating care and understanding each patient’s unique needs. While challenging, she views this as a vital skill every internist must possess. Born and raised in India, Dr. Susarla attended Rangaraya Medical College in Andhra Pradesh. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona and the Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program (THMEP), followed by a year as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Susarla worked as a hospitalist in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility and TMC before joining TMCOne in 2015. Tucson has been her home for over two decades, as she continues to enjoy the people and sunshine.
