Experienced nurse practitioner and TMCOne quality manager, Ashleigh Rodriguez, works to ensure that TMCOne clinics provide the highest level of care and meet community needs. In addition to these duties, she is also a primary care provider at the TMCOne office on Wyatt.
Ms. Rodriguez received her nursing degree from Eastern Arizona College and began her career in cardiac intensive care and pulmonary medicine. After many years of treating patients experiencing advanced diseases, Ms. Rodriguez was motivated to pursue preventive care and become a nurse practitioner.
In 2012, she graduated from nurse practitioner school at the University of Phoenix and focused her practice on health education and maintenance. Ms. Rodriguez believes strongly in helping patients identify health risks and providing early intervention to best prevent chronic diseases.
As an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona College of Nursing, Ms. Rodriguez has garnered a significant understanding of illnesses and treatments. However, she insists the most meaningful way of providing care is by getting to know each patient, and by offering sound medical guidance and support.
“By far, my favorite experiences are those that empower patients to make the decisions that are best for them.”
The mother of three is also a world traveler. Though, Ms. Rodriguez admits her time abroad couldn’t compare with the beauty of the Sonoran desert and mountains – which weren’t the only reasons she decided to call Tucson home.
“Tucson still has a hometown feel - it is amazing that in a population of a million you can easily run into neighbors and friends around town.”
